Here is a copy of a new kind of program.
What is it?
It may be classed as a personnal financial planner or an
oracle program. It asks a few simple questions about
what you think things should cost. Then it projects your
future life style.
How does it work?
It uses a complex internal model to evaluate your responses and
compare the results to a huge database. It then produces a
projection of your future.
Where did it come from?
The basic idea came from fundamental economic research performed
at the Department of Labor using computers owned by Electronic
Data Systems, Optimum Systems Division in Rockville Maryland.
As such, the basic research is in the public domain although
non-published.
The MSAV program was the written by HHResearch as a response
to a challenge from the Actualizations Institute in Tiburon.
MSAV is written in standard K&R C as implemented by Mark Williams
Company in their product MWC86.
Who owns the program?
MSAV is contributed to the world with the following limits. It
should not be sold or made a part of any commercial product.
You may charge a reasonable duplicating and distribution fee not
to exceed $7.00. A small contribution is solicited by HHResearch.
This will be used to continue our research projects.
Please keep all parts of the MSAV package intact and unmodified.
